Albania is dead last in the race to join EU
October 15, 2007 by qafirarnaut
It can be safely said that, of all the countries that are envisioned to be party of this agreement, Albania is DEAD LAST in the race to join. A year after the ‘initialling’ (not signing) of the Agreement between some Brussels bureaucrats, and Albania few EU parliaments have ratified this agreement. Incidentally, the SAA process with Serbia and Bosnia is expected to last 1 year. Compare this to Albania’s 5.

..se mos po bon Shqiperia ndonje gje per te qene e parafundit?!
Well, does it ever occur to EC that for us albanians joinning the EC may not necessary be a good thing?!
We’re a very small country and I don’t think that for small countries is a good idea to be run from brussels.
We have a great climate and nature, many ressources, and the economy is getting better slowly but surely.
I don’t see where is the interest of France, England or Germany etc. to help or favour us…?!!! If that was the case, how come europe is scared of 3.6 million albanians (60 percent of whom are already leaving abroad) and on the other hand 30 million romanians or 42 million poles can travell freely without visas? Their economy is not much better than ours!!! Can anyone sitting in Brussels explain that to me?!!!!!
Why should we be ahead of Serbia or anyone else? 30% allready have left the country. We don,t need the rest following them. What,s the rush? They will not build our country, we are. Yes, there is prejudice in Europa against us. We have to overcome that with good works, Knowledge and efficiency. Even with mountain problems we have ,the ill consived articles or tv programs in foreign media has calmed significantly down as a result of advancments Albania has made. Don,t be bitter, we are strong, compettitive and have a country that anyone would be jelous of. We are rising and soon will be back on top.
Our own movement has no humane dimensions nor is there firm belief in respecting the rights of others if we were to make way in the EU. ‘We’ lack in courage and honesty today for we are mistakingly in the wrong fence of the social order. From Frasheri to Kadare there was always evidence of our phony attempts to fit. We are truly perpetual victims of Karma and by all means, WE DESERVE IT!
to maxim-I’m sitting in Brussels, but explaining this is too long and bref Brussels hasn’t any economic interes for the moment so tirana can wait untill,
Who is last now:). Six more countries need to ratify and we can apply for membership. Serbia and Bosnia need to work on ratifying. It took Cratia and Macedonia 2-3 years to ratify their SAA, so 2 years is not lat long for albania. I have no idea what you are talking about. Look at facts then write.
Anyways, Who cares what your personal opinion is
Hey!
What are u talking about?Albania doesn’t have nothing to be proud of.I am Albanian but we haven’t done nothing yet.How we expect to join the E.U?People wake up.Our corruption is in the top list and it takes ages to make it disappear,Whose are those foreign businessman investing in our country. The rate of our unemployment is too high,The level of education is crap,we ave only corrupted politics that is not doing nothing for us.I am so concerned we never gone join the E.U we have a lots of criteria to complete.I am a student studying abroad like most are doing, this is really pity.We should look forward to develop our country in the best way to bring all the knowledge back to our country this is the best way they can make Albania the best place ever.
